License

Open source under MPL 2.0.

MApper is released as open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. The Technical University of Denmark is the copyright holder.

What MPL 2.0 means for you

Free to use — including commercially

You can use, study, run, and distribute MApper for any purpose, including in commercial settings, at no cost.

File-level (weak) copyleft

If you modify a file that is covered by the MPL, that modified file must stay open under the MPL and be shared back. Other files you add are not affected.

Use within a larger work

You can combine MApper with proprietary or differently-licensed code in a larger application without being forced to open-source the rest of that application.

Keep the notices

Preserve the copyright and license notices in the MPL-covered files you distribute.

This is a plain-language summary for convenience, not legal advice. The full MPL 2.0 text is authoritative.
